So, today i will be talking about brewing your own beer! yes thats right brewing your own beer. Now you might say well why would i do that when its pretty cheap in shops! Well trust me you can get beer kits for £10 a can that make beer like you get from the pub making a total of 40 pints! so lets get started on how to brew your own beer.
So you want to learn how to make your own beer. Well your in look in this article we will explore the techniques that are use with making quick easy and simple beer at home. This is called home brewing.
1) go to your home brew shop and pick up a beer starter kit. This will include everything that you will need to start making your beer.
2) before you actually make your beer you must make sure that everything is clean! you will do this using steriliser that should have come in your kit. The best way to do this is fill your fermenting bin with warm water and add the steriliser to the water and mix and then add all the items you will be using to make your beer, and then rinse with warm water.
3) You are now ready to make your beer. now all kits are different so please follow the instructions. start by boiling your kettle most kits will start this way and open the can of wort.
4) pour the water into the fermentor and add the wort stirring as you go.
5) as the wort melts into the water and becomes smooth it is now time to add 1 kg of sugar this is mostly not included in kits.
6) stir until all the sugar is dissolved.
7) top up with cold water up to 5 gallons.
add yeast to your beer and stir gently.
9) your done place the lid on the fermenter and leave in a warm place to ferment for around 8 days.
10) once your brew has stopped bubbling its time to bottle.
11) Syphon your beer into bottles adding i teaspoon of sugar before bottling to carbonate.
12) leave for 2 days in the warmth and then move to a cool place for 2 weeks.
13) Your done you have just brewed your first beer now to sit back and enjoy!
